A better understanding of how to use natural light, the effects of using different focal length lenses, how colours behave in an image, understanding and using depth of field, and different ideas about composition.

A better understanding of the technicalities frees you to enjoy concentrating on making a beautiful image.

Like all artistic endeavours it can be very therapeutic to be absorbed in making an image, and very satisfying when you achieve an image that means something to you.

Q. What skills do your students have by the end of the course?

An ability to take better flower photos, and an understanding of light and colour and composition which will benefit general photography as well.
