Career Inspiration: Brave Business - Simon Mansell Consider studying Undergraduate Advertising



Do you see yourself as a budding business person, one day CEO of your own company? Simon Mansell’s success with his digital advertising agency provides inspiration for any aspiring business man or woman.

Simon Mansell is the CEO of TBG Digital and he founded the company at the tender age  of 22. Under his management, his company has become one of the UK’s most successful performance-based digital advertising agencies. Simon is an inspiring businessman and recently won a Business Award at the Daily Mail Enterprising Young Brits awards, which honours Britain’s most promising businessmen and women.

Simon won his first client, Britannia Music, in the first month of his company’s existence. Britannia spent  £1 million with TBG that year, despite the market for digital advertising being at its lowest point. Simon also won a project from Vauxhall in the same year and thus TBG was born. His company has continued from its inception in 2001 to grow at a fantastic rate and he’s very proud of the culture he has created. He describes how he aims to nurture skills and talent in an environment where people are empowered to grow, learn and take on challenges. Simon stands by his values: be commercial, keep it simple, keep improving and defy expectations.

Hotcourses thinks Simon’s is a young business brain to emulate – he was also voted Media Week’s ‘Young Media Person of the Year’ in 2005 and in 2006 he won the Daily Mail’s Enterprising Young Brits award for ‘High Growth Business’.

From a great business idea, Simon has grown his company and it now has over 50 staff and operates on a global basis.
