Achievements: Fresh from university in 1997, Konnie got a job as a TV presenter for Blue Peter, a moment she describes as one of the proudest of her life. During her time at Blue Peter she interviewed Tony Blair, learnt how to scuba dive and returned to Bangladesh to meet her ancestors as well as becoming the longest reigning female Blue Peter presenter. Since finishing at Blue Peter she has taken part in Comic Relief Does Fame Academy and become an ambassador for the Red Cross. Konnie was one of the lucky few chosen to carry the Olympic Flame for England at the Beijing Olympics opening ceremony in London.
