What we do

Hotcourses has a simple mission: to produce guides and websites that make it easy for people to find the right school, college or university to pursue educational opportunities for themselves or their families. We believe in the fundamental importance of education as a way to expand opportunities and help people grow as human beings. We want to be the best in the world at helping people find the course that is right for them, whatever stage they are in life.

With offices in Chennai, India and London we are the largest publisher of guides to courses, colleges and universities. We are also responsible for Britain's most popular independent-sector education website, Hotcourses.com, which provides information on courses, schools, colleges and universities aswell as funding opportunities and career options.

Hotcourses has a range of printed publications such as Hotcourses Magazine, London's top selling guide to courses. Other publications include the Hotcourses Undergraduate Courses and Funding Guide and our most recent guide - Hotcourses Postgraduate UK Study and Funding Guide.

Hotcourses has been awarded its very first entry on The Sunday Times 100 Best Small Companies to Work For. This list is compiled after the views of 34,295 employees are taken into account, making it by far the most comprehensive study of workplace opinion of its kind. Competing against 565 other small companies, Hotcourses got its best scores for an excellent management team, with an 81% positive score overall for questions on My Manager. Other areas that Hotcourses scored highly in, included the fact that managers regularly show appreciation for a good job done (83%), that employees think the company does a lot to support the environment (77%), and that the company makes a positive difference to the world we all live in (80%), a reference to the work of our Foundation providing an education for over 300 HIV-affected children in Kenya.

How we work

Hotcourses.com aims to be the most accurate, up-to-date and user-friendly course site. We do not restrict ourselves to one particular sector of education, so you can find undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, leisure courses and professional development courses all on the same site.

Because we do not charge people to list their courses, we have a large selection of colleges and course providers. Providers can sign up online and update or amend their information at any time, ensuring that their listings remain accurate. Every week we collect information on thousands of new courses and add them to the site. All of our undergraduate information is supplied by UCAS.
