Applicants should normally have, or be expected to achieve, a minimum 2nd Class degree in a subject which offers an appropriate grounding in science, healthcare or physiology (or an equivalent overseas qualification) or be qualified health and social care practitioners without 1st degrees that can demonstrate evidence of either a contribution to the development of practice, or appropriate other study, are also encouraged to apply. Alternative professional qualifications may be considered and applicants holding these qualifications are encouraged to submit an application form. Non-standard candidates may be required to submit supplementary details (e.g. transcripts) and/or asked to complete a short qualifying essay. applicants whose 1st language is not English require IELTS 6.5 or equivalent (with a minimum 6.0 in each component).
