Candidates are generally eligible with the equivalent of an upper 2nd class degree in law; degrees in other relevant disciplines are considered on a case-by-case basis; students are not expected to have previous experience of studying Chinese language or culture, but candidates with such experience are considered on a case-by-case basis; in the absence of the formal entry requirements employment or other educational experience that evidences intellectual ability of an equivalent standard may be given consideration; applicants whose 1st language is not English require: IELTS 7.0 (with at least 6.0 in each module); TOEFL internet-based test 100 (with at least 20 in each module); PTE(A) 67 (with at least 56 in each of the communicative skills sections); or CPE grade B or CAE grade A.
