Arabic to English Translation and Interpreting MA: The course is designed for both native speakers of Arabic, and speakers of English who have near-native competence in Arabic. Translation theory and research methods and resources (RMR) are offered by the School of Modern Languages and Cultures (MLAC).

Additional entry requirements

Applicants are expected to have an Honours degree (upper 2nd Class degree or equivalent, that is, 60 percent or above overall) in a relevant subject, such as language, literature or linguistics. If applicants hold their degree in a non-language-related field, applicants may be admitted provided they can demonstrate that they have the required competence in English and Arabic. English language requirements include an IELTS of at least 7.0 (with no element below 6.5), or TOEFL iBT 102 (no element below 25).
