West Thames College is a successful, medium-sized college of further and higher education with a vibrant, friendly atmosphere and one of the highest success rates in London. The college has two sites based in Isleworth and Feltham and around 6,500 students. The college offers Apprenticeships, Access to HE, BTECs, HNDs and other vocational qualifications.

The amazing Isleworth Campus was opened in 2012. It has state-of-the-art classrooms and industry-standard facilities including a TV and music recording studios, a professional theatre and dance studios, hair and beauty salons, makeup artist studios, specialist IT, graphics and animation suites, fashion and design studios, science laboratories, a sports hall, gym and outdoor pitches, a three-storey learning resources centre and much more.

Catering, construction, engineering and motor vehicle maintenance courses and apprenticeships run at the Feltham Skills Centre - a smaller centre with a friendly atmosphere where courses are taught in purpose-built workshops and kitchens by industry professionals.

The college’s main aim is to give students all the support they need to succeed on their course and then progress on to higher level study or a relevant job or apprenticeship. As a specialist vocational college, West Thames has strong links with industry and employability skills are embedded into every course including: work experience, live briefs, industry competitions, field trips, guest speakers, and visits to trade shows, exhibitions and relevant business organisations.

West Thames College is a fun place to be with plenty of activities and events going on every week. There are lots of opportunities to get involved too – by becoming a Student Ambassador or Student Union rep for example. Students can also join the gym and take part in a full programme of sports and fitness activities from judo to Zumba, or play competitively in one of the college’s sports teams.
