About our short courses
The Open Programme offers a wide range of short courses, lectures, workshops and study visits.
These are open to everyone and suit people with varying levels of skill – from beginners to advanced.
All tutors are experienced, practising, professional artists.
Scheduled each quarter, courses can be taken singly or combined in modules for a certificate.
The Open Programme draws on the philosophical principles and crafts techniques taught on The Prince’s School MA and PhD degrees.
About the School
Over the last thirty years, The Prince’s School of Traditional Arts has evolved a unique outlook and methodology in engaging with the traditional arts.
Our education programmes in the UK - and beyond - introduce new generations to traditional arts and crafts through practical courses, lectures, research degrees and community-based projects.
This was an exceptional course. Adam is clearly an artist and master - and is able to bring his passion for wood to complete beginners in a way that is encouraging and playful. An amazing week and very good value for money. I would highly recommend any course that he runs.
David was excellent, the course was great I would certainly recommend. The studio could be warmer though!
