'The Maria Montessori Institute provides authentic AMI Montessori teacher training, and reaches out to underprivileged communities.'
The Maria Montessori Institute offers stimulating courses on the human being at the different stages of childhood: 0-3, 3-6 and 6-12 years.
Penetrating Diploma courses offer comprehensive, in-depth study and preparation to work with children of these ages. Included are lectures, seminars, guided practice with the Montessori materials, teaching practice and observation in selected schools, experienced AMI tutor/trainers giving individual attention, and much more.
Certificate courses give the opportunity to gain an understanding of Montessori philosophy and learn practical techniques to become supportive assistants in a Montessori setting. Parents and carers also can learn about Montessori in a structured way.
Courses can be taken full-time, part-time, and in a summer format.
The Maria Montessori Institute has been in existence for over 60 years, and is affiliated to the Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) which was founded by Maria Montessori to uphold the high standards which she insisted upon.
Today the AMI is a dynamic organisation, active in every continent and known worldwide for the quality of its training and the scope of its work. The AMI Diploma is recognised all over the world.
In Britain, the Maria Montessori Institute is the only educational Institute accredited by - and under the continual supervision of – the Association Montessori Internationale, to guarantee that these standards are always maintained. All lectures, tutorials, written assignments and course material are prepared and delivered under the direct supervision of AMI qualified Montessori trainers.
AMI Diploma and Certificate courses offered by the Institute give you the opportunity to understand more about child development - and to pursue a career that is far more than just a job.
