Engineering is a profession which relies on ingenuity, efficiency and precision. Once again we are poised for another ‘golden age’ of innovative design as global markets strive for smarter, cleaner and more cost effective technologies. Advancements in manufacturing, devices, systems, digital applications and motor vehicles mean that suitably trained engineers are sought after all around the world.
For years Lambeth College has helped produce top class engineers, setting them on their way into a multitude of careers including electrical/electronic, chemical, mechanical, aerospace and marine engineering, communications and infrastructure.
We deliver training based on the needs of the engineering industries and their employers, offering you qualifications that get you into higher education or directly into employment. Our aim is to develop your skills in a range of electronic disciplines, introduce you to robotics and computer aided design, teach you how to repair and maintain cars and motorcycles and acquaint you with the very latest in renewable energies and solar power in our fully equipped labs and workshops.
Modern technology is constantly advancing and shaping all of our lives. We live in very exciting times and now is your opportunity to make your mark on the future.
The course was interesting in terms of the material although the tutor did not explain things very well so most of the class were stuck and struggled for many weeks with the coursework and criteria. There were clashes in the class and lots of tension and teacher has a bit of a poor attitude when it comes to students on the whole and is totally unattached and only emotional about the lessons. Doesn't have any empathy and I doubt very much she is trained to be a counsellor. Having said that, you will gain greater self awareness doing the course, and if you can handle the classroom tension then you will pass in the end. But it won't be by the book the right way, it will be her way. I have done other courses at this college and she's the only teacher like this and other students find it the same. I spent a lot of time making excuses for her poor attitude to begin with but in the end I realised I was just not helping anyone especially her by doing so. Hopefully one day she ll wake up to herself. Do go ahead and take the course if you want but just be pre warned and challenge her instead of treating her too kindly and with respect as otherwise she ll just carry on as she is doing.
Its a full on course full of all the knowledge on human anatomy that stands you in good stead for your 1st year of uni. The tutors work you hard but are amazingly supportive, they teach and give you an insight into all you need to make the transition to university student I will qualify as a midwife in sept 2015, and i wouldn't be where i am today if it wasn't for the support of the amazing staff at Lambeth college
