For over 100 years, City College Brighton and Hove has ensured that the very best in further education is available in Brighton. With success rates placing it in the top 10% of colleges nationally and a ‘Good with Outstanding Features’ rating from Ofsted, City College promises an excellent learning experience in a friendly, supportive atmosphere with a great community spirit and superb facilities which re-create real working environments.

City College’s central campus is in Brighton's buzzing, fashionable North Laine area and every year, around 9,000 local and international students choose the college as their next step into a career or onto university. The college offers over a thousand courses from Entry Level up to Foundation Degree level for all age groups from 14 upwards. The College's vocational courses are career-focussed and provide hands-on industry training. With links to over 2,000 businesses, the College can ensure that its courses provide the industry-standard skills that employers need.

The College has recently received planning permission to transform the Central Campus on Pelham Street into a state-of–the-art learning facility. In the meantime, current facilities include the Library Resource Centre, Central Cafe, Training Restaurant (The Gallery) and the College's Hair & Beauty training salon, City Revival, offers an excellent value service to local customers.

Aside from Central Campus, the East Campus on Wilson Avenue hosts its acting and dance courses as well as childcare, music technology and public services. Motor vehicle students at the East Campus learn in a new state-of-the-art workshop.

City College was awarded Bronze Investor in People (IIP) recognition in 2010. This recognises activities above the basic standard, looking into how the college has continued to develop in relation to Strategic Planning, Learning and Development and Core Value activities. Only 4% of employers in the South East have achieved this prestigious status.

Brilliant experience!
by Rheanna - December 2015

I'm currently studying a graphic design evening course and really enjoying it. Out teacher is really experienced and often brings in her own design work to show us as an example of a design process. The modules are methodical and I feel it's going at the right pace to be able fully understand the topics and develop my own ideas. Classes are taught right in the centre of town too, which is really handy! Would definitely recommend to a friend.
